Life in a Game is the story of Guy, a young man who's discovered that living in a video game isn't all about bedding princesses and finding power-ups.

From everyday chores to just making ends meet, his life is assailed on every side by nagging NPCs, interdimensional henchmen, and incredibly irritating background music. Could things get worse?

    Apparently, yes.

Now he's being followed by a sinister force - the Jackal, a mysterious boss character hell-bent on his destruction. Short on time and answers, Guy must confront ever growing danger with only a handful of particularly annoying allies.

Can Guy defeat whoever - or whatever - is behind his misfortune, and uncover the secret to his mixed-up world?

    Start of a Series

Wanna know where it all started? It's simple, really: Life in a Game began as a dare. After all, pretty much all great works of art started that way.

Okay, it wasn't so much a dare, I lied. Really, it was just two bored guys who decided to enter the Nintendo Short Cuts Contest, an amateur film runoff to create a 5-minute comedy short about video games.

Life in a Game was our entry.

...and it came in dead last.

Nintendo could take our prizes, our joy, and our dignity, but they couldn't take one thing away: our fans. Hundreds of thousands of people were watching the little webseries that could, and Episode 1-1's comments were full of requests for more. So we laced up our hightops, strapped on the goggles, and decided to go back for "just one more."

Now look at what we got ourselves into.

    Screwed... in the sexy way

With three episodes released to the Net, things were looking up, but we wanted to share Life in a Game with even more gamers. We decided Screwattack would be an awesome venue for the show, thanks to its awesome staff and kickass g1 community. We talked to Stuttering Craig, and in March 2008, we were live!

Life in a Game was warmly received, and we've gotten more support than we'd ever imagined. From a shiny new Subplott to 3D animators, to a host of other friends and colleagues!

    Beyond Episode 8

What's in store for the future of the show? Well... a lot!

First off, Life in a Game is set to air monthly until its ridiculously awesome final episode, episode 8. The show will have a total of 18 full episodes spanning 1.5 years of work, and that's not including our bonus shorts!

Not withstanding a possible Season 2, our very own Liam is heading up a development project on Life in a Game: The Game (working title, also considered "Life in a Game: World Tour"), which will bridge the plots of Seasons 1 and 2. Oh yeah, it will also kick ass.
