    Guy

The hero of Life in a Game, Guy is a twenty-something gamer whose world is being increasingly taken over with video game characters, sounds, and rules. He's not sure when it all started, but things are getting worse day by day. Although he doesn't really want a life of conflict, he's now driven to find out what's causing this insanity, so he can put a stop to it once and for all.

    Guy is played by Dan.

    The Jackal

There's not much known about the Jackal, aside from a handful of facts. It can control the Hax. It always returns. It loves sweets... despite not having a mouth. And, above all, its singular aim is to destroy Guy. Its only emotions are curiosity and sadistic glee, and its only known associates are equally shrouded in mystery.

The Jackal is played by Jon.

    Frog

A hero known in many worlds, Frog fills the "ancient, wise, magically powerful, short green sage" niche in the show. Appearing out of thin air, Frog introduced Guy and Subplott, taught Guy the power of the Hax, and always seems to know more than he lets on. He's also a pretty profane motherfucker, despite his more noble reputation.

    Frog is voiced by Alex.

    Subplott

A recently-deposed prince, Subplott joined the group as the one prophesied to "have the key to everything" by Frog. Although this revelation has yet to bear fruit, Subplott has been a priceless aid to Guy, fighting alongside the hero as part of his personal quest to vanquish Lollerskates. What Subplott lacks in superpowers, he makes up in verbosity.

    Subplott is played by Liam.

    Dude

Laid back and always chipper, Dude has cropped up at the least expected times... though usually only when there's a profit to be made. Unlike pretty much every other hero, Dude seems to be enjoying life's endless quests and perils. He doesn't mind helping out occasionally, as long as he can get back to rescuing princesses by dawn.

    Dude is played by Mike.

    Lollerskates

Lollerskates is a big fan of theatrical entrances, and takes particular pleasure in raining on the good guys' parades. He's a powerful wizard who pretty much fucked up Subplott's entire life, probably just for the hell of it. With huge HP reserves, dark sorcery, and a secret link to the Jackal, Lollerskates is a hilarious dangerous foe.

    Lollerskates is played by Rob.

    Shadow Boss

Yeah, by now you probably thought you knew what a shadowy mastermind was. Hell naw, not until you checked this guy out. Who is he? Why is he out to get our heroes? How does he control the Jackal? Does he always sit in the dark like that, with sunglasses on and everything? Shit, we don't even know, and we wrote this stuff!

The Boss is played by Sal.

    Shadow Lackeys

Serving the Shadow Boss, these two figures are equally mysterious, yet significantly less intimidating, and sans awesome gloves. Though both sycophants in their own ways, it's obvious that Female Shadow Lackey's got a brighter light in the attic than Male Shadow Lackey. Yes, those are their real names... honest.

The Lackeys are played by Maria Cucina and Ron.

    Howard

As a long-time employee of the Shadow Boss, Howard serves as Chief Engineer. What exactly he's engineering and why, however, remain veiled in secrecy. Unlike his supervisor, Howard is just as concerned with the safety of his projects as he is with their efficiency, and sometimes butts heads with his colleagues.

    Howard is played by Angus.

    Zelda

Not particular proud of her relation to Subplott, Zelda is nonetheless psychically bonded to her bro. Often finding herself on the wrong side of the palace's prison bars, Zelda relies on her quick wits, tough talk, and arrow-like magic missiles to ward off foes and attack the darkness. Not one for pleasantries, the princess speaks rather candidly.

Zelda is played by Maria Cucina.

    The Master Chief

The Master Chief! A mighty warrior forged in the heat of battle, only the Master Chief has the power to break through Lollerskates' enchantment. While there has been great speculation about the Master Chief's true identity, it has been said that he enjoys fine literature, powerful green artifacts, and sexual humiliation.

The Master Chief is played by Tiffon.

    Lamar

In Fable 2, you get a dog. In Zelda games, you get a pestering fairy. In Half Life 2, Super Metroid, you get Lamar. So, how did Guy get Lamar? It's a long story, but it probably involves Phazon and some freak accident where Guy lost all his powers and you had to spend the whole game getting them back. Ugh.

Lamar's a goddamned sprite. You should be ashamed of yourself.
